⭐️ it looks fancy, but it's super easy! ⭐️ use store-bought ingredients - fig jam and puff pastry - for quick prep ⭐️ partially prep up to 48 hours in advance
Set out puff pastry to thaw. Meanwhile, top the brie wheel with fig jam and chopped pecans.
Roll out thawed puff pastry between two sheets of parchment paper into a 10″ x 10″ square. Center brie wheel on top of the puff pastry.
Fold in the edges, one after the other, to wrap the brie wheel in the pastry.
Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet. Whisk the egg, then use a pastry brush to coat all of the exposed puff pastry. This will help it get extra golden brown and crispy.
Sprinkle the exterior with the coarse sugar.
Bake at 400°F for 35-40 minutes, or until the pastry is deeply golden brown.
Rest five minutes, then slice open and serve with crackers, crisp breads, apple slices, and grapes.
