⭐️ 1.5 lb flat iron steak ⭐️ 4 cloves garlic ⭐️ 4 tbsp olive oil ⭐️ 1 tbsp dijon mustard ⭐️ 1 tbsp lemon juice ⭐️ 1 tsp lemon zest ⭐️ 1 tbsp kosher salt ⭐️ 1.5 tsp ground pepper

Roughly chop the garlic.

Pulverize the garlic into a paste using mortar and pestle or the flat side of your knife.

Combine garlic mustard, lemon juice & zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Whisk until smooth.

Coat steak with marinade. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.

Sear over high heat 2 minutes per side with the lid OPEN. Reduce heat to medium and cook 3-5 minutes more per side with the lid CLOSED.

Rest the steak 5-10 minutes.

Slice thinly against the grain.
