GRILLED ASPARAGUS

⭐️ 1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed ⭐️ 1 tbsp olive oil ⭐️1/2 tsp kosher salt, or to taste ⭐️ 1/2 tsp ground pepper, or to taste

INGREDIENTS

TIP:  use a grill tray! This inexpensive tool ensures the spears won't fall through the grates.

⭐️ Balsamic vinegar (add 1 tbsp with oil) or balsamic glaze, added just before serving ⭐️ Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated ⭐️ Toasted pine nuts, added just before serving ⭐️ Garlic! Add 1-2 cloves minced garlic, or 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder when oiling. ⭐️ Sesame oil. Add 1 tsp with olive oil.

SEASONING SUGGESTIONS

Combine spears with olive oil, seasonings, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

Heat grill to medium (375°F-ish). Arrange spears in an even layer. Grill with lid closed until tender. (Swipe for times!)

⭐️ THIN spears = 6-7 minutes ⭐️ THICK spears = 8-9 minutes Start at the lower end for asparagus with a bite, go a minute longer for more tender spears. When in doubt? Take a bite! You'll know by taste if they're done.

GRILLING TIMES

Drizzle with lemon juice and season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
