Chop bacon, then saute until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon.
Rinse green beans in a colander. Shake to release some, but NOT ALL, moisture.
Add damp green beans to rendered bacon fat. Season with pepper.
Cover and saute until blistered; toss occassionally.
Add minced garlic. More or less to taste.
Saute and toss constantly until garlic is fragrant.
Return bacon to skillet, then season with salt to taste.
