1 medium head broccoli 1 tbsp olive oil ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp kosher salt ½ tsp ground pepper lemon juice, to taste

INGREDIENTS

Lemon:  season with zest, juice, or both just before serving. Pesto:  a little drizzle after air frying goes a long way. Sesame:  add 1 tsp to the olive oil before cooking, then garnish with toasted seeds just before serving; a drizzle of tahini sauce is also a welcome addition. Aged hard cheeses:  grate Parmesan, Asiago, or Pecorino before or after air frying.

VARIATIONS

Toss florets with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper (plus other seasonings as desired) in a large bowl until well combined.

Arrange florets into an even layer in the basket. Program to 390°F for 8 minutes, and shake at least once halfway through.

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh lemon juice, or other seasonings as desired. Serve immediately.
